Clouds in the Sky
A cotton cloud formed the peaks,
and valleys,
on the canvas of her.
Two clouds billowed in a whisper
of sweat; a quiet rhythm of the wild.
Three came a rainless, soft thunder,
a rapturous shudder, sated sighs.
In the obsidian of a twinkly, smoky night,
they parted, sharing wisps of the past.
A day passed; the gray sank in.
Somber rain dripped in the lonely gloom,
knowing she would not silver these clouds again.
